About School

Established in 1989 under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), Army Public School (APS) in Ambala Cantt has carved a niche for itself as a premier educational institution in Haryana. With its motto 'Truth is God', the school is dedicated to providing quality education primarily to the children of Indian Army personnel, while also welcoming civilian students. The institution fosters an environment of discipline, integrity, and academic excellence, preparing students to become responsible global citizens and future leaders. The sprawling campus is designed to support a comprehensive learning experience, blending modern architecture with functional spaces that encourage both intellectual and physical development. The academic framework at APS Ambala is structured around the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum, offering a robust educational pathway from Class I to XII. The pedagogy emphasizes a holistic approach, integrating technology-enabled learning through smart classrooms and well-equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science. The school is also home to an Atal Tinkering Lab, which nurtures innovation and a scientific temper among students. A well-stocked library serves as the nerve centre for knowledge, providing access to a vast collection of books and digital resources. The focus is not just on rote learning but on developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong passion for learning. Beyond academics, APS Ambala places significant emphasis on co-curricular and extracurricular activities to ensure the all-round development of its students. The school offers extensive sports facilities, including grounds for football, hockey, and courts for basketball and volleyball, encouraging students to pursue physical fitness and sportsmanship. Participation in NCC, cultural events, debates, and various clubs is actively promoted, allowing students to explore their talents and build confidence. The admission process is structured and transparent, with priority given to the wards of army personnel. By combining rigorous academics with a rich array of extracurricular pursuits, Army Public School, Ambala, stands as a beacon of holistic education, committed to shaping well-rounded individuals.
